Redevelopment of the Traditional Shopping Centre and Kennedy Square

As the road around Kennedy Square is one of the busiest in Paphos, the proposal aimed to act as an element of diffusion and connection. The project serves as an intermediary between two surrounding zones: the historic area with a strong urban character to the northeast, and the later-developed area with lower density and a looser fabric to the southwest.

The pedestrianization of the area successfully regulates traffic that previously put pressure on the urban front of Evagoras Pallikarides and Arch. Makariou III Avenues. This intermediate space now organizes a multitude of urban uses with intense commercial activities within a unified front, where low-speed pedestrian pathways, public areas, and retail spaces blend together, fostering a dynamic urban environment.
